Core Biopsy

The Core Biopsy was taken once a problem had been highlighted through the fine needle aspiration and mammogram. This again used local anesthetic to numb the area and then a 'gun' was used to fire a core into my breast, removing a core of tissue for analysis. I was unfortunate enough to have to go through this twice as the first session 'missed' the lump. As a result, the second one was carried out with the help of an ultra sound scanner.

With the second diagnosis of cancer I had to go through this three times! I was battered and bruised and had to go to Tarn's wedding all bandaged up and nearly cried as I hugged people hello!
